BMH/Compétences juridiques

LUXURY GOODS

BMHoffers customized legal services to all of its clients (perfume, jewellery, optical glasses, ready-to-wear clothing, couture, wines and spirits) positioned at the crossroads between business and creation.

BMH analyses the legal crossborder problems encountered by luxury goods professionals and evaluates the impact of the different legislations at the European community level, relating to copyright protection, conservatory measures and procedure (applicable law and competent jurisdiction).

BMH draws up the licensing, franchise and exclusive distribution agreements, and takes care of trademark filing.

BMH defines and implements a legal strategy aimed at proving the anteriority of its clients' creative work.

BMH advises clients regarding the selection of perfume names or corporate names (foreign companies wishing to establish themselves in France).

BMH takes into account trademark life (lustre and historical value), participates in having them recognized before the courts (well-known trademarks) in order to ensure fully legal control of use to their owners.

BMH legally accompanies stylists and designers as they advance in their careers (business development, trademark filing).
